FanDuel Group and United Center Announce Plans to Open In-Arena Sportsbook

FanDuel Group in partnership with United Center is opening a sportsbook lounge, which is going to be situated within the arena itself. The arena sportsbook is still waiting for approval from the Illinois Gaming Board and if permitted, this will bring sports betting to the home of the Chicago Blackhawks of the NHL and Chicago Bulls of the NBA.

The FanDuel sportsbook debut at the United Center will consist of a 2-story building to be situated next to the atrium. The sportsbook will feature ultramodern sports wagering tech, as well as massive viewing screens for sports lovers and punters. FanDuel has a knack for innovation and has a proven track record of offering excellent sports betting experiences to its customers so this new arena sportsbook is expected to offer fans a fully immersive lounge experience that is unparalleled in the state.

As FanDuel awaits approval from the Illinois Gaming Board, both the United Center and FanDuel will create a non-betting space close to the atrium. This non-wagering space will feature FanDuel branding, which will give sports betting fans an area or lounge to watch live sports while attending events at the United Center.

The United Center not only includes a multi-use entertainment facility on campus, but it also includes a community ice center, as well as 2 professional sports practice amenities. The center was opened in 1994 and has become the center of sports activities, as well as special sporting events in the industry.

Final Thoughts

As time goes on, it is expected that FanDuel will open even more stadium sportsbooks across the country. Last year, FanDuel opened up a sportsbook in collaboration with the Phoenix Suns at the Footprint Center.

BetMGM also recently opened a retail location at National Park in Washington, which joins Caesars sportsbook located at Capital One Arena. All these new locations will not only offer punters more variety than ever before, but they will also boost revenue in the respective states.
